Workshop experience meets expertise.

My name is Mehmet Örün, and I have been working as an independent automotive appraiser in Hamburg since 2018. Before that, years of workshop experience — first as a certified vehicle mechatronics technician, then advanced training as a vehicle technician, and finally as an independent vehicle appraiser.

My standard: every report personal, impartial, and to the point. I work exclusively in the interest of my clients — never for insurers.

How much does an appraisal cost and who pays?
If you are not at fault in an accident, the opposing party's liability insurer covers all appraiser fees — under German law (§ 249 BGB). You have the right to choose your own appraiser. In all other cases (vehicle valuations, own damage, etc.) I bill according to scope and provide a clear cost estimate in advance.
How quickly do I receive my report?
Typically I prepare your report within 2–4 business days after the on-site appointment. For urgent cases — for example a legal deadline — I do my best to handle it faster.
Where do you work? Do you come to me?
I cover Hamburg and a radius of around 100 km — at your home, in the workshop, or directly at the scene of the accident. On request also throughout Germany.
Do I need an attorney?
In an accident that is not your fault, an attorney is strongly recommended — and the attorney's fees are also paid by the opposing insurer, even without legal-protection insurance. I work with experienced traffic-law attorneys in Hamburg and can refer you.
What should I prepare?
Ideally: vehicle registration, ID, and the police accident report (if available), photos of the scene, contact details of those involved, and your insurance case number. If something is missing — no problem, we'll clarify it at the appointment.
Are you really independent?
Yes — I work exclusively for my clients. Never for insurers, workshops, or dealerships. My BVFS membership commits me to the highest standards of impartiality and continuous professional training.
